Apple iPhone Users Get Busy Signal Buzz

If the new Apple iPhone exceeds expectations in any one category it is getting the hackers off the couch to figure out the electronic key needed to unlock the new phone. When Apple unleashed its newest and unparalleled Apple iPhone device, it was designed to work only with AT&T with the SIM chip included, but locked so the only way the phone will work is with a two-year contract with AT&T the carrier formerly known as Cingular.
While several people seem to love the Apple iPhone and have many nice things to say about it music and video player, being forced to sign with a specific wireless carrier for cell phone and internet browser use has several hackers locked in their rooms searching for the door to another service. Despite AT&T's threat to prosecute anyone who unlocks the secret to their technology and is able to unlock the phone, the effort continues. Experts predict that within two weeks of the release the Apple iPhone will have been unlocked and being used on other networks.
Currently, the Apple iPhone is somewhat restricted to the United States for no other reason than economics. An average two-year contract with AT&T for over 4,000 minutes of use and unlimited wireless internet access will go for about $60 a month. For the neighbors up north, there is only one Canadian cell phone service compatible with AT&T and, due to less competition, a lesser level of service is going for about $200 a month. Add to that the $600 price tag for an Apple iPhone and this one-of-a-kind device is out of reach for most Canadian users.
The Apple iPhone was unleashed with great fanfare but initial silence by Apple about the coming technology seemed to fuel the hype behind the phone. The concept is a simple one: having every communications device known to man all in one handheld unit. Touch screen technology has been around for years, but having it installed on a device that fits into the back pocket of even the tightest pair of jeans made it one of the hottest, must-have commodities that people just had to have, despite the price and questionable service contract.
There are plenty of pitfalls with the new Apple iPhone, but none of them pose a permanent problem as the solutions will be easy to come up with, if they are'nt already in place, such as the digital camera also working as a video recorder. Easy fixes will be coming for being able to add ringtone the user chooses and will most likely add a better search tool for its address book. These are just a few of the complaints by the first users of the new Apple iPhone that should be easy to overcome.
Users Pushing For Additional Memories
Despite having the capability to play music and movies, as well as roam the internet and send and receive email and offers the functionality of a computer, the eight megabytes of memory has many people forgetting why they wanted it so bad in the first place. There is no place on the Apple iPhone for an additional memory card and its configuration with Windows and PC users is questionable at best. Of the Windows Office Suite, only Outlook is fully connectable with the Apple iPhone calendar. Outlook Express will not work, having some finding the need for the additional expenses of new software.
The battery, not replaceable by the user is another quirk of the Apple iPhone, similar to it music player, and has to go back to the factory for a new battery. Although the battery life has been greatly extended, up to nine hours with movie watching, music listening and browser viewing. A charging dock for the internal battery, which is included, promises to restore the battery from a 10 percent level to 90 percent in under two hours.

Did Adobe Split From Apple Or Vice Versa?

There is always a lot of controversy when it comes to smart phones, what operating system they use, which ones are better, and why. The latest trending topic is the rift that has occurred between Adobe and Apple.
Both of these multimedia electronic giants have been working together in an attempt to create a Flash player able to run on the iPhone. Unfortunately, as reported by Apple, Adobe promised a working version of Flash for the iPhone about two years ago, but has not delivered any results.
The problem with Flash is that it is unreliable and has constant issues. Adobe claims that without the Flash player, Apple users will be devastated at the lack of videos they can view on their devices. Unfortunately for Adobe, Apple has already found a solution.
Apple put their thoughts about Adobe Flash in a sixteen hundred word post on their site. To sum it up, Apple claims that Flash is a closed system and that Flash is outdated and unusable for Apple products. Apple is now going to use HTML5, CSS and JavaScript rather than Flash player. HTML5 gives more options for web developers and allows consumers to view graphics, animations and other media on the web without using a third party plug-in. You can read the full post on Apples thoughts on their website.
In response to the post on Apple’s site, Kevin Lynch (Adobe CTO) replied with a blog post as well. In his post he basically responded that Adobe will be working with Android smartphones and they will also be working with RIM, Palm, Microsoft, Nokia and others. Adobe is now going to take their toys elsewhere because Apple doesn’t want to play nice.
So what does this mean for Apple users? Good news in fact. HTML5 is a sophisticated web browsing tool that will make it much smoother and easier for Apple consumers to browse on their iPhones. Also HTML5 is newer and more advanced than Adobe and it opens up a lot of opportunities for web developers to make smart phone use better than ever.
Now back to the original question: Did Adobe split from Apple or vice versa? From the looks of things, and order of posts, it seems that Apple actually cut the ties with Adobe, just Adobe made it more official and clearly stated they will not be working with Apple. Although who cares who split first? Good thing is that now Adobe will be working hard to develop a better Flash player and Apple will be working with HTML5 and competing. Competition leads to better products and lower prices which is always good for us consumers. :-)

Battle of the tablets: Apple vs. Blackberry

There are die hard Apple fans and hard core Blackberry followers. The tension between these groups is so thick you could slice it and it is all because of the latest tablet computers that have been developed by these corporate giants; the Blackberry Playbook and the iPad 2. Each of these groups claims that their tablet computer is ‘the best’. With fantastic features on each of these different models, it can be hard pressed to stand on one side or the other. So this epic battle of tablet devices wages on as many seek to answer the question: “Which one is better?”
We all know that Apple devices are famous because of iTunes and the App Store. This gives any Apple device a +1 automatically. Also, with their new iCloud feature coming this fall there is an even bigger draw towards Apple products.
In order to get a thorough viewpoint on which one is better you need to, of course, examine the specs. Below is picture comparing visually comparing the two devices, and below that is a table comparing the specs side by side.

As you can see, despite all of the hype about Apple, iTunes, and all of the other features of the iPad 2, the Playbook hits back. Hard.
